This is a significant security problem and will require more buy in.
Hi Alex, Yes we do use credit rating set up to warn/freeze. However we also use a specific code once they go over a certain overdue period as they maybe under their credit limit which needs to be changed back once payment is made. It is a far smoother process allow the person entering payments on the customer account to amend at the customer payment screen rather than remember to go into the master file to change. The person/s doing hte customer payments is the person in control of the debtors ledger. This credit rating was able to to be changed from memory some 10 years ago but change for some reason. Or at least allow permission according to security role to enable change at customer payment screen.
Donna, do you have credit rating setup to warn/freeze the account based on aging? This will open up the account once the payment has been processed.
Opening up the ability to alter the credit rating in the payment entry screen would need to be controlled by security as this screen to be open to more Junior AR reps who do not have the authority to make this change.
