Dark mode offers several benefits, both in terms of user experience and health:

    1. Reduced Eye Strain: Dark mode uses darker backgrounds with lighter text, which can be easier on the eyes, especially in low-light environments. The high contrast between the text and background can reduce the need for the eyes to constantly adjust to brightness changes, making it more comfortable to look at screens for extended periods.

    2. Better Battery Life (for OLED/AMOLED Screens): On devices with OLED or AMOLED screens, dark mode can help save battery life. These screens are able to turn off individual pixels when displaying black, meaning that less power is consumed for dark pixels compared to bright ones. This can lead to improved battery performance, particularly on smartphones.

    3. Improved Sleep Quality: Exposure to bright blue light from screens, especially before bedtime, can disrupt circadian rhythms and affect sleep patterns. While dark mode doesn’t eliminate blue light, it can help reduce the overall brightness of screens, making them less likely to interfere with sleep, especially at night.

    4. Enhanced Focus: Some users find dark mode to be less distracting and more focused. The reduced glare can help them concentrate better on tasks, especially when reading or working on content in dimly lit environments.

    5. Aesthetic Preference: Many people simply prefer the look of dark mode. It can feel sleek, modern, and more visually comfortable, which enhances the overall experience for some users.

    6. Reduced Light Sensitivity: For individuals who are sensitive to bright light, dark mode can be a welcome alternative. It can help alleviate headaches or discomfort caused by prolonged exposure to bright screens.
