Everyone within the chain from the person assigning the job to the person delivery the goods has a responsibility to ensure compliance with speed, fatigue, mass, dimensions, loading etc.

Therefore part of our systems we put in some time ago was:
Importing all dimensions of machines including weights of machines,
When entering a contract through SRM at the back end of the contract it tells us the weights
This is a trigger for our hire controllers at a glance to know if our trucks can do or not. It may not give dimensions however we do have the ability to look this up as they are on the system
Secondary step is our drivers are to check the plates of the machines they are going to load to ensure the equipment will be able to be carried by their truck, if not they report back to the hire team who can reassign or outsource the delivery
This information is not displayed in Texada Web at this time. Therefore they are requesting it be displayed in both Web and on Mobile:
delivery ticket for the scheduler (hire controller to see before assigning),
pick up ticket for the scheduler (hire controller to see before assigning)
Appear on the ticket that has been assigned to the driver on the app so they are aware of the dimensions and weights
